Fax FAQ

Internet email and chat are not secure. Facsimile (fax) is recognized as a secure method of communication. This FAQ will instruct consumers of MHS in connection of fax ability on their home and office PCs, so that they may communicate with MHS providers in writing. MHS providers almost always refuse email, as PIHI (Personally Identifiable Health Information) may not be transmitted in this manner, under the HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) laws.
